Social Activities

More than just a sailing club, the Pultneyville Mariners is all about family, friends and fun. At PMC, every weekend is like a vacation. Having access to the best asset Rochester has to offer, spending time on the water with the wind on your face, there is nothing else like it.  Members spend the days enjoying the beach, drifting on Lake Ontario on days it’s calm and riding the waves on days it’s wild. With kitchen and bath facilities, many people spend the day at the Club or show up after work to grill and chill on the lake.

The club organizes regular social and combined work events throughout the season:

• Fathers Day Breakfast – June
• Sailboat racing – Sundays starting mid-June
• July Fourth Potluck – July
• Steak and Corn Roast – July
• Chicken French Dinner
• Commodore’s Challenge – July
• Burgers and Hots – August
• Ice Cream Social and Sandcastle Competition – August
• Oktoberfest – September
• Fall Clean-up – October
• End of Season Banquet – November

Also, weather permitting, individual members sponsor casual Friday Night Happy Hours and everyone enjoys fires on the beach in our designated area.  For those who want to enjoy the beach, club amenities, and social functions, but cannot or prefer not to sail, the club offers a limited number of social memberships.
